Human Support Organizations

It is generally perceived that child development education is very important because it is the backbone of all educational levels. This is acknowledged locally so important, but still there is no recognition of child development education Nationwide, as no appropriate measure have entry into place and promote education for early childhood development in Kenya.
 
This leaves no doubt that, poor educational achievements at various levels of education and especially in rural poor communities is neglect of education of early childhood development. This will cause more slow development of levels of national Community which stops a great danger to the Kenya as she remains behind where as there is rapid development globally.
 
Busia district is one of the districts face many challenges, i high levels of poverty and (ii), the complex effects of HIV/AIDS and TB high load. The district's poverty rate is 68%, HIV/AIDS prevalence is 7.4%, with a prevalence of 5.9% female and male prevalence of 9.0%. The gross birth rate 47/1000, crude mortality rate is 20/1000, mortality rate of babies 125/1000 < 5 mortality is 210/1000. Leading causes of mortality are malaria, HIV/AIDS, anaemia, Pneumonia and Gastro-enteritis.
 
The orphaned and vulnerable children (OVC) is a special problem and one of the biggest challenges the district that is addressing human support organization. The orphan crisis was precipitated by the death of young parents part through the civil war in Mount Elgon and communities fleeing in northern Uganda as a result of internal wars by rebels Konny to the Government, tribal clashes in Kenya and especially after disputed elections 2007 General and families moving from rural to urban settlements in search of employment.However, the main cause is because of the many parents die of HIV/AIDS.According to statistics by the Department of children it is estimated that the population of orphans in Busia is about 70,000 children.
